Hill & LOS
Hello,

I have a question that might be completely stupid, but I 'll ask it anyway Wink

The rules say :
- Woods, hill, field and town hexes are all called "limiting terrain".
and
- LOS is blocked if it passes... through a hex that contains limiting terrain

So, does that mean that , on the image attached, no unit can see another unit, as 1003, 1004 and 1104 are limiting terrain ?
Huh

Sorry if I missed something evident...

Manu

RE: Hill & LOS
Manu,

Both US units can see the Germans.

You are right (again) in what the rules state, but an error in their writing was to omit that although hills are limiting terrain for spotting from 3 hexes away (unless a spotted counter is on the target), they do not block LOS like trees and buildings if nothing else is in the hill hex. Of course, a hill hex blocks line of sight if trying to see over it.

OK, I always played it this way. But yesterday, I suddenly realized that the rules stated something different and I wasn't sure anymore.

Thank you very much for your answer, Vince !
