Multi-Hex Assault

I have been looking, but could not find a definite answer. Can units from different hexes assault into one hex at the same time? I assume that once activated all movement is simultaneous. Can anyone confirm this for me?

If the situation that you are describing is two units both activated by the same leader and both adjacent to the same hex that is going to be assaulted, they may both move in and assault that hex together.
