Dan Storm's Collection is seeking homes
It has come to pass that Dan's widow would like to understand how to unload Dan's collection.

Given his sudden death she has finally settled things, is looking to move domiciles, and would like to
not drag his extensive collection around.

I am getting pictures to get lists....I have no way of verifying content...but I suspect they are very well
cared for (and clipped......)...I think he said one of his great failures is he's a completion-ist....so I suspect it
  is pretty extensive.

I'm looking for suggestions/ideas on how to help Robin with getting this done, to her financial benefit....

1) getting list
2) looking at contents of a couple (all by pic)

??

For pricing, check eBay, BGG market place and Noble Knight games. That will get an idea of the value.
She'll need to work out the shipping method. For single games, or a few of books and expansions, flat rate postal boxes.

Having been in her position, as her to consider carefully about disposing og his stuff too quickly. It will be a rough few years. She wouldn't want to dispose of how she thinks of him too quickly any more than she would want to hang on to the past.
... More and more, people around the world are coming to realize that the world is flat! Winking

eBay and Noble Knight often have ridiculous prices for OOP games. If you search eBay make sure you search only completed auctions so you get an idea of the prices that things have actually sold at.

If you wish to get rid of the games quickly, price them a little low, put them on the CSW Market Place and they will sell fast, that is how I always do it. Post them here as well in the PX section.

Sorry to hear about Dan, what happened?

This is a good question. Does she want to be rid of them or does she want to realise a good profit from them?

RE: Dan Storm's Collection is seeking homes
Well, she'd like to make money from them, some .... she is not interested to maintain them and/or move them
So...I've got her getting pictures of the games...

As soon as she has that, we can start to identify a list, get them to a few places (including here for sure!).

Setting prices will take some time...BGG has some info.

There is another thread in here...."Dan Storm has exited the Mapboard".....
I was vacationing in Thailand for much of January...about Jan 6?  Robin called me in Thailand to relay that Dan had passed in his sleep...
She was visiting family for a couple days, came back and found him expired on the couch...apparently passed in his sleep....
She has finally set up her next path and has to get these games settled by mid August....

Quite a shock...no indicators....I'd spoken to him the previous week....we'd spend about 18 months gaming couple nights per week...
Just goes to show.....take a look at the thread Jay Smile.....

Morale of the story---- Don't Delay your Gaming!!!....

RE: Dan Storm's Collection is seeking homes
You know I need some of the extensions and supplements to complete my collection. But now we get into some pretty expensive stuff like the specialized Golden Journal material. I know what Noble Knight’s got, and they want good prices for say West Wall, $95.00, and the Golden Journal stuff, $65.00+; despite Dave Davieau’s assertion that one can still buy Panzer Lehr 2 from AP, I don’t seem to have much luck there.

If Dan has this kinda collection, she stands for a handsome reward.

I would review Noble’s list of PG, because they have prices for their items and state when these items were last in stock and have people signing up for wants. Some things haven’t been seen in years. This is where eBay might be a good way to go.
