RE: Good news!
Quote:The bottleneck for both Fall of Empires and Lawrence of Arabia has been map art – an enormous amount of map art. Fourteen maps’ worth.

I read this and hear "the bottleneck ... is AP being unable to pay an artist"
...came for the cardboard, stayed for the camaraderie...

More like they have one artist they work with (Guy Reissen) and it takes him time to do all those maps.

RE: Good news!
The discussion about fourteen maps is silly because Fall of Empire needs only six. Avalanche does not have to release the products jointly nor they were planning at any point as far as I know.

Were Fall of Empires and Lawrence of Arabia up for pre-order before? Some of these games I'm not sure if I've already pre-ordered them or not. I've double ordered games a few times.

Yes, they were.

My pre-order for Lawrence of Arabia was placed on 11/3/15 and I know I waited a few months after it was announced before I ordered it.

Fall of Empires was offered much earlier I believe.
