I recommend you never buy a laptop from Dell or any middleware products from ANY SOURCE if that is your expectation; you risk being severely disappointed.
I am not arguing your right to post criticism but I do take issue at your alluding your expectation is a standard met by most companies.
In my 25+ years of experience consulting in the IT business, rare is the occasion in which we did not have to find our own workarounds to problems vendors acknowledge but refuse or could not fix. Even muti-million maintenance contracts are not usually enough to entice companies to meet said expectation.
