RE: PG Series 1929-1955?
I would but the change from not a date only but when the technology changed to warrant the PG rules v. IA or MG. PG rules are focused on infantry platoons and tanks and the combine arms effort of the two. IA focuses on mass infantry and plotted artillery fire. (Although I feel the artillery rules need some work). MG is going to focus on continuing the combined arms but you will have the introduction of technology, missile and helicopter attacks as well as changes to modern tactics.

So, with a beginning date I would say when tanks appeared in campaigns as well as when the primary infantry unit went from a company went to the platoon as a primary combat unit. Without research that would put a begin date after the Russian Civil War as well as the Russo-Polish war. This would place it about mid to late 20's or so.

As for an end date, I would end it when missiles and helicopter attacks began common in battle. This would probably be the late 50's or so.
