When I started playing PG (nearly 20 years ago...) my usual opponent was using this modifier for fire against MTC (arguing that MTC share more or less the same NATO symbol than CAV).

So I'lm curious to know which rules you arre using for MTC units.

- DF & BB modifiers : + 1 like CAV ?
- Combined arms bonus in assault => for me that's no (they are not Infantry, even if this term is not strictly defined in the rules) .
- Could they Dug In => for me that's yes (like APC).
- Extended assault (Optinnal rule) => I'll try in my next game.
I'll take a shot at this, but would defer to other more seasoned experts.....
1) Yes to +1DF for MTC, as it is logical. They aren't a lot faster than CAV and have the same lack of armor, plus horses don't explode like a gas tank does.
2) Agree, only infantry count here.
3) I suppose they could dig in, but that sort of defeats their purpose as fast-moving spotters. They can run from danger rather than dig in and live to fight another day.
4) Sure, that would give them the same option as CAV.
