Sunken Railroad - 1940: The Fall of France

The special rules say that units in a sunken railroad hex can only be spotted by adjacent units that aren't in the sunken railroad.  I'm assuming that, once they fire, normal spotting applies (i.e., they get a spotting marker).  And you know what they say about assuming, so I figured I'd check with the hive mind.
