When Mike Perryman sent the maps to Daniel and I to develop the game we both had a bad reaction. The problem is that the bocage really does work like that. The fields are 100-500 yards long at most and the hedges are nearly impenetrable.

It presents some neat problems to the attacker.
No "minor" country left behind...
