I received my printed copy of Nihon Silk today and I must say, the laser counter were prefect, the best yet. No burn marks at all!

Dumb question, I have over 500 games cut the old fashion way, not sure if I have any that have been laser cut yet. How do they or what do they use to laser cut them? I know for example if you have 400-500 you can purchase a die cutter (now my wife is gone I may buy one). But where and how could you buy a laser cutter?

I've seen personal/hobby-level laser cutters, with a working area of around one square foot... the problem is they're not cheap. Most internet sites require you to send a request for pricing information. The one's that I have seen run on the order of $10k.

Note: This is NOT an endorsement of this product. It is simply the result of a google search on hobby laser cutters. I have no idea how much that one costs, nor do I have any feel for how well it would cut counters. But this is the kind of system a hobbyist would be buying.

The video was taken several months ago and I suspect the flashes you see throughout the video are a thing of the past.

I own a few games from VPG and will continue to purchase States of Siege engine games as I enjoy them. The Nappy 20 series is something I want to explore but maybe not this year as they are still a bit too complex for my 9 year old.
