Wire?

RE: Wire?
Thanks for bringing this oversight up. Its only through play and questioning that errors get identified and corrected. Afrika Korps and Desert War are part of our gaming heritage and there are probably more copies of each in circulation than of the last four boxed PG games combined.

RE: Wire?
This came up for me today. There are no Wire rules in Broken Axis.

RE: Wire?
Maybe Avalanche can modify the text file for fourth edition rules so that later printings of the rules book, and downloads with the sample game, can incorporate the missing section.

RE: Wire?
They won't; already asked over a year ago. Mike is against the idea of living rules (and there are pros and cons to living rules).

Personally I think that desert rats rule were not enough "punishing" infantry movement. Tracked veihcles should roll For mire and wheleed ones should not be allowed to enter hexes wit wire.

RE: Wire?
Daniel's correct about the no living rules policy.

What about a good Daily Content article, with examples of play, that can be refered to by customers of 4th edition PG releases.

Since I am the only one doing Vassal mods at the time, the obvious question becomes... What are you thinking?

RE: Wire?
I'm of mixed feelings on Living Rules. It's nice to have them all in one place, and I imagine it's a pain to constantly update them. And if it's just a few erratum, why not just use an errata sheet. It's probably easier to stuff one of them in the game box than to reformat and reprint all the rulebooks.

RE: Wire?
Perhaps what is needed ia a special rule section in the annotated rules. The default display would be the current rule, older versions would be available, but collapsed. Versions older than the current would be indexed by last game date. That would allow for the waffling in rules like dragging guns.
