The Dis tank wants to bug out, this opens up a free shot. Are the disrupted units allowed to initiate the "free shot" assault? I am thinking yes because this happens before the unit actually leaves the hex and disrupted units can do this in assault hexes only.

Yes, you are right, the the Dis units only get the free shot. (at half firepower of course)

Pippers,

Yes, the Russian DIS units will get the free hack.

By my calculation, it will be on the 13 column (unless they have a higher morale value than the German), then it will be on the 18 column. There is no -2 for attacking in a town on free hacks.

6pts = 5 column (+1 leader and attacking AFV's in town with no infantry support) = 13 column

BTW Pippers,

Not sure what the situation is.......VC's, how many reserves the Soviets have coming, how many supporting Germans nearby etc, but if the AFV has an activation, which he does as he is bugging-out. He may be better off recovering (+1 in a town) and getting in good order as he will then go up to 11 firepower if they attack him again ?

Just a thought to throw out there

Forgot to mention the PzIVE has also lost a step prior, otherwise it might make sense to recover. The Germans have more muscle incoming.

The points and col shift is exactly what I got as well.

In the end, a 6 was rolled, and the unit was lost.

Technically, im supposed to have 4 wrecks here now?

RE: Beginner clarifications.
So if these 4 wrecks were on a bridge, that would make it impassable for everything but foot solders for the rest of the game, correct?

(They aren't, just hypothetical.)
