As Enrique noted, Romanian border guard formations came tantalizingly close to getting into EFDx. I suggested that I could "stir" Inkscape faster than the AP pot. Here is what I cooked up.
Mike B. even talked about them a bit, almost taking the subject down to the PG scale.
What is here will make one fairly complete frontier regiment.
- The regiment contains 3 battalions & 1 cavalry platoon (get it from EFDx).
- The battalions have 2 infantry companies & 1 weapons company.
- An infantry company has 3 BDR platoons.
- The weapons company has 1 BDR HMG & 1 37mmIG.
Normally only 2 battalions of a regiment are in the field at a time, the third is in training. Enlistment times are longer than the regular army. Independent action is stressed much more than with the regulars. The overall picture is one of better troops, but inferior weapons.
