[poll] new banner image for the site? - Shad - 06-29-2012
The PG-HQ banner image we've had since launch is adapted from a photo taken by Xander Fulton over on BGG.
At 150 pixels tall I've started to feel it's wasting a bit of screen real estate.
How do you feel about making changes? Let me know in the poll above and/or in comments below!

I was just thinking of knocking it back a bit vertically, maybe down to 100px or a bit less. That's a lot of "deadspace" on our initial page load.
Width would be the same.

Nope. Dislike the new font for the banner. Harder to read and too much distinction lost. A possibility might be to use the new font on the PG & H, but I wouldn't use it on the Q (the white fades in too much). I think though I'd keep the existing font.

I agree with Randy, font change is ugly. Original is fine.

If you (Shad) have an idea of what you would prefer, I can always ask my daughter who studied fine arts if she can come up with something.

Feedback seems pretty consistent that what we have is still pleasing, so I'm doing to drop this proposal.
However, I appreciate your offer and will be contacting you privately about an alternative project.
