Leader activated several times in a turn - qwirz - 02-07-2014 Hi again! Section 6.0 now. 6.2 states: " a leader may only be activated if it is not currently marked with a MOVED/FIRED marker. So, does this mean that a Leader can be activated more times in a turn? Ex 1: Leader x activates and assists demoralized units in his hex and adjacent hexes in recoverying. Nor the Leader nor the units are marked in anym way. May he be activated again later and activate the same units (assume succesfully recovered) to move or fire normally? Ex 2: Leader x activates and activate all the units in his hex and adjacent hexes. All the units move BUT the leader. He stays in his hex and so he is not marked in any way. Later other units move in the Leader x hex and adjacent to him. May he be activated again to activate all the newly arrived units to move or fire normally? Thanks Ruben RE: Leader activated several times in a turn - qwirz - 02-07-2014 Ok. i I read 14.4 and there is stated that units attempting to recover and leaders assisting them are marked. So ex 1 in my previous post is uncorrect. It remains ex 2.... No. An activation must either be to MOVE or to FIRE and must be declared before doing anything further, per Rule 3.13. So in the example you give your leader declares a MOVE activation but does not move. Whether he moves or not is irrelevant. (sometimes you will declare a FIRE activation with multiple units and the final unit will no longer have a target to shoot at, too bad so sad!) He still receives his MOVED/FIRED marker per Rule 3.13. RE: Leader activated several times in a turn - vince hughes - 02-07-2014 Any activation by a unit or leader will require a MOVED/FIRE counter, Therefore in BOTH your examples, they get a MOVED/FIRE counter. In fact, you answered it your self by starting each sentence with "A leader activates". As soon as activated, he is then going to received the M/F counter as DO leaders and units that are sub-activated. RE: Leader activated several times in a turn - qwirz - 02-07-2014 Clear! Thanks guys! |
