Leader Crushed by Fleeing AFV - Hugmenot - 12-20-2012 An unusual situation arose in my game against Vince earlier today. One my demoralized AFVs failed its morale check and had to leave the assault hex. I selected one of two hexes randomly and then realized it was occupied by the enemy's demoralized top officer. We spent a couple of minutes trying to find a rule stating whether this was forbidden but finding none, we allowed the move to stand. A "9" later and the major was no more. That will teach leaders to keep their heads up even when demoralized. I think we both found the situation too funny to remember it was also decapitation! RE: Leader Crushed by Fleeing AFV - JayTownsend - 12-20-2012 I say you played it 100% correct! You have to love those unusual situations that come up in PG. RE: Leader Crushed by Fleeing AFV - Poor Yorek - 12-21-2012 "We weren't flee'n! No, sir; no way! We were chase'n this here fella." ::indicates sullen major:: RE: Leader Crushed by Fleeing AFV - vince hughes - 12-21-2012 It was not a nice way to lose a major boys :-( RE: Leader Crushed by Fleeing AFV - Poor Yorek - 12-21-2012 I suppose another way to look at this is as a PG variant of the anecdote: "Ahoy, I'm on starboard tack; I've got right-of-way." "Ahoy, I've got the bigger boat." |
