Gamewise: What would a 4-ton truck look like? - plloyd1010 - 11-09-2024 The infantry artillery brigades used a 4-ton truck to tow the 155mm howitzer. So, adding a 4-ton truck to the American counter mix seems reasonable. This would be similar to the Diamond T, CCW-353 or the German Buss-Nag. The Diamond T (per Wikipedia) has a speed of 37mph as opposed to the 2½ ton truck with a speed of 45mph. That suggests the movement points should be 6 or 7. Should there be any other differences? RE: Gamewise: What would a 4-ton truck look like? - treadasaurusrex - 11-09-2024 IMHO, This artillery prime mover should probably have a speed of 6 MP. RE: Gamewise: What would a 4-ton truck look like? - plloyd1010 - 11-10-2024 So far I am thinking of calling the Heavy Trucks or perhaps Cargo Trucks. Part of wanting to make them generic is that they have truck characteristics, unlike the British Quad and Matador, thus still functioning as truck. This is also because I am thinking of British and German counterparts, like the Bedford QL, Albion CX22 and the Buss-Nag 900 and 4500. RE: Gamewise: What would a 4-ton truck look like? - treadasaurusrex - 11-10-2024 My vote is for the label: heavy truck. That category would include the US 5-ton, as well. |
