As a thought, is there any way you can create a list people can just opt in/out once rather than having an posting to reply to every month.

Sure I can but is that really true for you because being "always in" and then not participating is also going to impact selection.
Opting-in only shapes what games we might pull the scenario from. If you own everything (or nearly so) then opting in has little to no impact. What's important is for people with few games who want to participate to opt-in otherwise there is a significant risk I select a scenario they don't own.
So you, good sir, can happily NEVER opt-in since you own pretty much everything, yes?
