[Hist] Chinese paratrooper trained by S.U. in WW2 to fight the Japanese - Shad - 05-22-2015 The Chinese media recently published a surprisingly detailed article about a Chinese soldier from NE China who fought the occupation, fled to the Soviet Union, was trained to be a paratrooper, and then returned to join the insurgency. He's 93 years old! (this is in English, btw! ) http://www.ejilin.gov.cn/2015-05/19/content_20763063.htm RE: [Hist] Chinese paratrooper trained by S.U. in WW2 to fight the Japanese - plloyd1010 - 05-22-2015 Interesting. A bit of insight into a theater we don't often get. Also interesting how Wang Zhen ends with the "glorious fighting days" note. I wonder if Wang Ming thought, or thinks now, that it was glorious. |
