I don't have FoF, so could someone provide a summary of Grossdeutschland's ATR capabilities for that game?

Also, has anyone tried the ATR options by Jason Rahmen http://www.avalanchepress.com/Rifles.php? Wondering how these rules would affect game balance for existing scenarios.
