RE: [split from DIY Counters] zovs - "What to start with in PG?" - waynebaumber - 08-30-2012 I might as well add my thought's on what to start with, and why Elsenborn Ridge is a good starting point, the scenarios are mostly two mappers and are of a good quality. Desert Rats would then make an interesting counterpoint to the above and also give you more nations to play with. I think that PG simulates desert warfare so well without too many rules. I am an ASL player though do not VASL and when I first started playing PG I did compare the games and use ASL terms while playing, in fact the two games can not be compared really and I now play more PG than ASL. Not that PG is better than ASL or the other way round I just find PG is more accessible. RE: [split from DIY Counters] zovs - "What to start with in PG?" - tanzerleader - 09-04-2012 I started with 1940 Fall of France. The scenarios are quite different so there is lots of variety. The only drawback is that there are only 2 nations which can get boring for some. I got Afrika Korps soon after then Eastern Front not long after that. |
