If you looked closely you could see the off-duty contingent playing SL on the messdecks. In fact, I occasionally saw our messdecks overrun with wargamers as well.I remember that! RE: PG Games we DON'T want to see - larry marak - 01-23-2013 I can't remember whether it was Victory or SPI, but The Final Countdown has been done as a scenario once before. Cone of Fire includes a Argentine carrier with jet fighters fighting a naval campaign in the mid 50's, so we could actually see this kind of scenario with existing SSWAS components. Call it a new Straits of Magellan scenario. RE: PG Games we DON'T want to see - wleonard1 - 01-23-2013 The PG Game I don't want to see? France 1939 - The Sitzkrieg. First time in the PG series one player has a negative initiative rating. Lots of unique fortresses and heavy artillery that are never used..... RE: PG Games we DON'T want to see - larry marak - 01-23-2013 Excellent proposal. Lots of Ft-17 platoons, and Pz1 tankettes :-}. RE: PG Games we DON'T want to see - Dean_P - 01-25-2013 The 4 map behemoths would be a blast also! All four maps place short-side to short side, so the play area is 11"x 68", All Germans set up on the long-side of the map at the top, French place all their fortresses and twice as many troops on the long-side of the map at the bottom. German Decisive victory is if they exit all their troops across their map in 10 turns. RE: PG Games we DON'T want to see - larry marak - 01-25-2013 Indeed. An interesting monster that no-one would buy! How about a Rhineland intervention game,? say 20 scenarios, and lots of mid 30's equipment, Belgium and France vs Germany? |
