RE: FLM as ENG - POUM - 11-16-2015 Just ordered this https://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/177142/tornio-44 Tornio 44 (corrected from Torino). Finns against germans ww2. RE: FLM as ENG - Hugmenot - 11-16-2015 Noble Knight Games carry this title if other are interested. Torino is by the same publisher/designer/developer as the famed Finnish trilogy that you sometimes see posted for several hundred dollars. Torino had a much larger print run that the Finnish trilogy so I don't expect it will go OOP anytime soon. RE: FLM as ENG - vince hughes - 11-16-2015 Daniel, Tornio not Torino ... that's Turin to Italians LOL ... You'll have Ottavio all over you or he'll wonder how he's missed history books detailing Germans v Finns fighting on Italian streets :-) RE: FLM as ENG - POUM - 11-16-2015 Ha, Ha I hate auto-spelling in iPads. It's Tornio. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Tornio. I'm a swede, I should now. I don't (didn't) now anything about the rules and the game mechanism, but I have to have a game about Finland at war. RE: FLM as ENG - Hugmenot - 11-17-2015 Vince, I was probably thinking of "Gran Torino", a Clint Eastwood movie that my wife and I enjoyed. |
