Thanks Vince. That's what I thought. Makes it harder to get to the $200 free shipping threshold with the lower prices. Smile

This is where you discover if you're a fan-boy of all things APL or not:.

Non fan-boys would decide what games they want and THEN add the total to see if there is free shipping or not.

A fan-boy would decide he has $200 to spend and pick his order from that !

I tried to get a conglomerate of 5 x Europeans to clump our orders into one order to reach the $400 dollars but fell about $100 or so short. Therefore no order placed and we all therefore failed fan-boy status Shy

At some of the prices here, $120 for 1967, it doesn't take much to hit the break even point. Mike stated on consimworld that the cost of 4th edition rules (32 page rules book, + optional rules book + plus color charts and tables is almost 10 times the cost of producing 3rd edition rules and tables.

Its certainly nice that you can download the 4th edtion rulebook for free. Makes it easier and condierably cheaper to upgrade your boxed games.

I am just hoping Mike starts shipping some of the new PG games soon, as I thought all four new games would have been released by now.

Don't believe everything a vendor tells you Larry.

The 4th edition charts being 10 times more expensive than the 3rd edition charts? Possibly, they are in color and, if they are like those in SoI, printed on better stock.

The 4th edition rules and optional rules booklets being 10 times more expensive than the 3rd edition rules booklet? Unless the rules booklet is printed in color, I don't see how that is possible. Maybe 3 times more expensive due to the combined number of pages but beyond that, I am very doubtful.

Keep in mind I can print the rules booklet at my local print shop in B&W and on good paper for 4.5 cents a page. I can print the two charts in color (both sides) on good card stock for $1.41 per chart. I know that price well because that's how much I paid the last two times I printed charts from games I am playtesting. And I don't get a discount for volume.

Without the new charts the rules are an interesting read, but can't really be used with the existing games.

They are indeed an interesting read! I am looking forward to try them in the next game I receive.

RE: Early ordering PG games - richvalle - 06-13-2014

We've seen one chart already. I'm hoping the others come out soon-ish.
