RE: Something for Vince - Shad - 03-05-2014 Lovely work, Peter! RE: Something for Vince - tlangston28 - 03-06-2014 I like it! Gives it a Steel Panther-esque look. Although you would need a double size counter for a Soviet T-35 if scaling matters! RE: Something for Vince - plloyd1010 - 03-06-2014 Yea Tony. I'm a big SP:WaW fan too. I thought about swiping graphics out of the encyclopedia for these counters. Scaling would be iffy in some areas. PzI, L3, R-1 tanks would be very small on these counters, late war "long gun" tanks or multi-turreted monster tanks would likely be too big. Either way, I view this as an academic exercise. I don't have the time to redo the PG arsenal. (I don't want to spend my vacation time to do it either.) You're assuming that the PGHQ Special Operations Directorate (under the command of PGHQ 2LT Hughes) doesn't abduct and hold you against delivery of the required documents! I would agree to lowering the graphic with the removal of the shadows. I am more of a minimalist with the graphics, good detail is best and you have that with the tank graphic. RE: Something for Vince - plloyd1010 - 03-06-2014 I found an interesting example of the scaling problem on Tanks Encyclopedia. You all recognize the Maus. That little splotch by the bogies is a Polish TKS. It reminds me of a rhetorical question a friend often posed in naval games, "How may 50 cal bullets would it take to sink the Yamato?" RE: Something for Vince - Poor Yorek - 03-06-2014 Sayeth the Maus to the Pole: et dixit Philistheus ad David numquid ego canis sum quod tu venis ad me cum baculo et maledixit Philistheus David in diis suis. 1 Sam. 17.43 |
