RE: The Korean War Series Project! - JayTownsend - 04-04-2018 I am still waiting on Mike to publish those two premium downloads on the Korean War: * Korean War Armor * Chinese counter's download. RE: The Korean War Series Project! - JayTownsend - 04-09-2018 General MacArthur in 1950, said the troops will be home by Christmas. Instead they should of hoped they were still alive by Christmas! RE: The Korean War Series Project! - JayTownsend - 12-03-2018 The corrected helicopter KW scenario. RE: The Korean War Series Project! - JayTownsend - 12-03-2018 Here are the others: RE: The Korean War Series Project! - JayTownsend - 12-03-2018 And: RE: The Korean War Series Project! - JayTownsend - 01-22-2022 Think Chosin Reservoir! RE: The Korean War Series Project! - JayTownsend - 01-25-2022 I was wondering if I should start a separate folder for Chosin Reservoir or keep it here? But this is next: Chosin Reservoir. And it has been a long time coming! RE: The Korean War Series Project! - JayTownsend - 02-19-2024 First look for Gold-Club Members: Back to Korea! As we turn our newly-replenished stockpile of Panzer Grenadier parts into games, we’ll soon be headed back to Korea. The numbers look about the same for Saipan (and expansions) vs. Korea (and expansions), but we’ll go to Korea first for a couple of reasons. First, I think Chosin will do really well. Second, the package(s) include Battles for Seoul, which has been on the Early Order list since the Pandemic Emergency and I want to finish it off. And Third, the Korean subseries includes two core games, which means that we have a lot of parts sitting around the office crying out to become new games. Right now, the Korean Experience includes five items: ● Counter Attack, Playbook Edition The boxed edition was quite good, but its scenario book is too large (it’s a printing thing). We’ll shave off the latter scenarios into their own Campaign Study (38th Parallel), and add some background stuff to meet the page count (because we’re never going to give you blank pages). Order Counter Attack (Playbook) here. Use coupon code JENNIFER to take 30 percent off. ● Pusan Perimeter, Playbook Edition Pusan Perimeter is older than Counter Attack, and lacks the chapter/battle game structure of the newer Panzer Grenadier games. So while it wasn’t a bad game, I’m not willing to publish “just okay” games and the scenarios are getting re-developed, too. Order Pusan Perimeter (Playbook) here. Use coupon code JENNIFER to take 30 percent off. ● 38th Parallel, A Korean War Campaign Study The latter part of the old Counter Attack scenario book, with some added background stuff to fill out the page count. These are the battles that take place on the north side of the 38th Parallel. We’ll want to release it alongside Counter Attack’s Playbook edition. Order 38th Parallel here. Use coupon code JENNIFER to take 30 percent off. ● Chosin Reservoir It’s not a large expansion, but it is a headline battle (probably the headline battle of the Korean War) and introduces the Chinese Communist Forces to Panzer Grenadier. Tough veterans of the Chinese Civil War take on equally tough U.S. Marines in a harrowing American retreat. This one is a must-have. Order Chosin Reservoir here. Use coupon code JENNIFER to take 30 percent off. ● Battles for Seoul I initially conceived this book to do two things: first, update Pusan Perimeter with battle games, added scenarios and history, and second, to bring more focus to the ROK (South Korean) Army. We first offered it during the Pandemic, as the type of product we were fairly sure would escape supply chain problems. We ended up re-making Pusan Perimeter in a Playbook edition, with the supply chain playing a major part in that decision, but that meant that the book could now focus on the ROK. Both Pusan Perimeter and Counter Attack are heavily focused on the American experience in Korea, and I wanted to explore the ROK experience, too. Those games have plenty of ROK and NKPA pieces, so we don’t need more. Will will probably give the book a new title. Order Battles for Seoul here. Use coupon code JENNIFER to take 30 percent off.
