Czech leaders - Grognard Gunny - 09-19-2026

Pete, could you check the Czech leaders for "Peace in our time"? Can't find them anywhere, even in other game that have Czech troops. Thanks.

Don

Hi Don. The Czech leaders and aircraft are in with the rest of the army. All are combined in 1 extension. The leaders and aircraft will come up in random counters as usual.

RE: Czech leaders - Grognard Gunny - 09-19-2026

Nope. Even tried pulling individual files from other Czech games to get the leaders, but no. What I am getting is the old background but no leaders bit again. This has happened to me before (as you might remember). Any further suggestions?

Then there is the usual cleanup procedure. Disable all unnecessary extensions, then clear the tile cache.

I did find an error though, but that has to do with the casemates.

Yeah, those came up blank when I looked at them, as did leaders and air. I've been trying to "cheat" my way into a set up.... but no go. I guess I'll ditch the files and start over. Thanks for the help.

OK. Tried everything. Cleared my files, reloaded (twisted, spindled and cheated) and still got nothing other than the background for the leaders, strongpoints and air in PIOT. Is it something I am doing or is it that the combined file that we download is not separating into the files (at our end) like they are supposed to? I am at a loss.

Weird question: Assuming you unzipped the download, did you also leave the download package in your extensions directory?

Less weird question: Are the German leaders working?

RE: Czech leaders - Grognard Gunny - 09-28-2026

Well.... that leaves me in awkward position, I usually don't "unzip" my files. (Unless this machine does it automatically.) Yes, the Germans are working fine.

Yeah, I checked. None of my files have ever needed to be "unzipped". (I have seen the term used, but I have never downloaded files that have needed to be "unzipped".)

I was just thinking that if the download package and the unzipped files are in the extension directory, that could make weird stuff happen. I would expect the same weird stuff to happen to the German leaders too, if that were the case.
