Introduction

George's partial success led to the attack's renewal on the following day. With all three battalions of the 132nd Regiment poised to attack, enough strength was finally available to effectively engage the Japanese defenders.

Conclusion

The Japanese made their first key error in this series of engagements, failing to spot 2nd Battalion's approach. The American soldiers advanced into the heart of the Japanese position before being fired on. By now bled white by malaria and casualties, the Japanese regiments were incapable of counterattacking. The Americans held their newly-won positions until relieved by units of the fresh 25th Division.

Additional Notes

Cassino '44 or Elsenborn Ridge may be used instead of Battle of the Bulge for the U.S. units.
