Gold Club Query
Like Pavlov's dog, those Grossdeutschland counters made me drool: all over my credit card. I don't have Kursk, but playing the Panzer Lion Romanian Trilogy with these counters will be cool.

Question is this: I received the automated order "thank you" and, separate, receipt by email, but nothing in lines with:

Quote:Place your order and read what we send you, THEN follow the directions to get free stuff and great discounts. If you try to do it all at once, well, it just doesn't work that way.

So ... ??

RE: Gold Club Query
You should be receiving a "Welcome to the Gold Club" email shortly. It will included the Gold Club coupon codes for the online store and links to download some Gold Club freebies.

Important: The webstore will take more than one coupon code. Enter your first coupon code and click "apply," and a new coupon code window will appear.

Thank you for the tip. I did receive the eventual follow-up email.

I also see that I seriously misconstrued how this worked. caveat emptor

They are certainly a better colour than the GD in FoF. That was one horrible creamy green.

For me the good news was it mentioned Burning Tigers. As a legacy owner from the pre-pub time frame I hope to see it before the end of the year.

RE: Gold Club Query
Yorek, the PG 43 counters are quite useful for the Romanian Trilogy of scenario books.

^ Larry,

I'm sure they will or would look great. I just misconstrued (I'm trying to avoid assumed) the mechanism by which a GC member might obtain them so I'm having to scratch my head and hope that I didn't just buy MB dinner.

PS Guess I should have waited a few hours more until APL posted: http://www.avalanchepress.com/12Days.php

RE: Gold Club Query
i think im going to have to join up. the ethiopia game, the korean game, the tunisia game and the moroccan, 7th armd and grossdeutschland div sets. its too much. i cant handle it i am going to cave in and join.

the luxemburgers may have sealed the deal though

I want steel road-closing signs for all nationalities, not just the Luxemburgers. What good will a Sea Lion game scenario be without "beach closed" counters placed as strategic landing sites.

Without going into detail, and because I have been "vocal" in my criticism of APL in the past, I feel obliged to say that they did a "good turn" today.
