Very interesting German film, produced by the O.K.W., on the training of Panzer Grenadiere units in the last year of war ("Sommer 1944"). This film simulates, in four parts, the meticulous preparation of a counterattack to regain the original defensive line, broken by a Soviet offensive. In this action takes part a Panzer Grenadier section ("Pz. Gren. Zug") with infantry, assault guns and SPW with flamethrowers .
The original title is:"Panzergrenadierzug im Hauptkampffeld. Einsatz eines verstärkten Pz. Gren. Zuges in der Tiefe des eigenen Hauptkampffeldes zur Wiedergewinnung der H.K.L.". In my opinion "HKL" is "Hauptkampflinie", that is, main battle line or first line.
