Leader Assisting Recovery in Adjacent Hex?

A leader with 1 Morale activates his hex with a disrupted infantry platoon and an adjacent hex also with a disrupted infantry platoon.  He assists the unit in his hex with his morale, can he also assist the adjacent unit's recovery with his morale since he was the activating leader?

Similar:  He activates his hex that hads a good order unit to move and also the adjacent hex with a disrupted platoon.  The GO unit conducts his move, but the leader stays put; can he assists the adjacent unit he activated in recovery

Yes. Presumably he has activated with a move a move order, though he doesn't actually go anywhere.

Corollary: He activates a good order unit in his hex to fire, but he activates to move and also the adjacent hex with a disrupted platoon.  The GO unit conducts it's fire, but the leader stays put; assists the adjacent unit he activated in recovery, but may not add his combat modifier to the firing unit in his hex.
