6.7 Leader Casualties
So I was readng some older posts and got my self confused. I then read the section in the subject line.

I have been playing that the Bombardment result, and Direct Fire Result for that matter, affects ALL units in the target hex.

The clarification I need now is, does this include leaders? From what I have read it appears that Leaders are only affected if morale test is rolled (M or M#) on the result chart.

So a leader could face the following on one enemy activation:
  1. morale check following an X or M result rolled on the bombardment chart
  2. Then casualty test if any step losses occured during teh activation.
Thanks in advance for the clarification.

RE: 6.7 Leader Casualties
yes, rolls due to fire/assault are rolled --starting with Leader (many examples in rules)--and then units.
THEN if unit losses occur---you take a leader casualty roll as well.

so yes.

But the leaders are not directly affected by an X result, correct?

Save that they would take an M2 morale check, and an officer Casualty roll......

They are only affected directly by X results when they are alone. Otherwise it is all morale checks and leader loss checks.
... More and more, people around the world are coming to realize that the world is flat! Winking
