BT-7 Armor Rating Mistake?
I just noticed that the armor rating in a picture shown of the Soviet BT-7 tank counter on our PQ site in FitS Rybaschev Returns scenario 19 is different than the counter that comes w/ the game. The counter rating is 1 while picture shows a 2!

Thoughts?

Link to BT-7 Library Page

It's been in 20 games, we have 5 images, and only one has an armor value of 2...

Daniel Rouleau and Matt Ward are listed as designers for that game. Perhaps they can explain?
...came for the cardboard, stayed for the camaraderie...

I don't think Daniel & Mathew can help on this one. The armor value of 2 appeared in 2nd Ed. Panzer grenadier. The 3rd Ed. reboot made it an armor of 1. The armor of 2 returned with Moscow Rifles in the BT-7m, but got a better machine-gun too.
... More and more, people around the world are coming to realize that the world is flat! Winking

Not Matt or Daniel, but I've often wondered where the 2 armor value on the BT-7 came from. All the games I own have the value as a 1. Thanks, Mike

So I got an early printing because also the counters do not have numbers or letters. I am grateful for all of this talk. And
I should have looked at Shad's BT7 variant page first. Now I know the value of these pages. Another interesting thing is that the latest game of PG has the 1st ed. EF printings. But Shad's pic of the FitS #19 counters has at least a 3rd ed.0printing. It looks like one can get whatever APL has on the shelf in their copy of the game I ko

RE: BT-7 Armor Rating Mistake?
The BT-7 was given an armor rating of 2 in the original Panzer Grenadier.  In every game since, the armor rating has been 1.

On the Unit's page: http://www.pg-hq.com/library.php?type=unit&id=946, the unit images are shown in order of publication, from left to right:

Panzer Grenadier
Eastern Front Deluxe
Workers and Peasants
Power of the East (download version)
Power of the East (print version)

Fire in the Steppe reuses counters from Eastern Front Deluxe, so the FitS counter would be second from the left.

Out of curiosity, I'd like to see the picture you mentioned.  I'm also curious as to how you wound up with a Panzer Grenadier counter.  Did it come with your FitS, or do you own a copy of the original PG game?

I believe the picture he is referring to is just the thumb that appears on the scenario page within PG-HQ, which is by default the first one?

Either way I forgot about the downgrade, having just played the original all the way through like some kind of crazy person.  Blush

Forgot to say that my FitS BT-7 counters have no numbers or letters and are rated an
armor value of 1.

RE: BT-7 Armor Rating Mistake?
So Moscow Rifles revived the value of 2?
