Silk Smooth counters!
If you missed out on getting the silk counters or replacing any of those Laser counters, AP is sell them for just about any game on the recent Gold-Club email!

I think I have just about all of them on order at some point. Now, if I could just get AP do do them for the supplement Marianas!

If you are a Gold Club member or you join before the deadline, you can purchase the following silky counters to replace your laser ones:

* Burning Tigers
* Liberation 1944
* South Flank
* Saipan 1944
* Conquest of Ethiopia
* Pusan Perimeter
* Sword of Israel
* 1940: The Fall of France

The Deadline is August 15th according the latest Inside # 134.

Funny, because my 1940 Fall of France came with silky counters to begin with, so AP must have done a reprint with laser counters at some point.

I believe I read somewhere it was partial laser/ partial die cut in the reprint. And that sounded pretty gross IMHO.

No, my original is 100% die-cut and very nice counters.

I think partial laser/partial die cut was when they had counters via laser, and we're still using up old die current marker sheets.

I was referring to the original reprints, not the original print run. I too have the original die cuts.

Found what I was referring to. GC # 121 mentions 2 of the "reprint" die cut sheets are the originals, and one is going to be the new, silky, style.

This led me to believe the laser era FoF reprints has 2 die cut sheets & 1 laser sheet.

Maybe im wrong.

My copy is from the first run so I really dont know.

RE: Silk Smooth counters!
Back on topic (imagine that!) I used Jay's reminder to order my long desired BT and Saipan silky-smooth counters.

This IS a limited time offer, don't pooch it!  Dodgy

Peace. Michael

RE: Silk Smooth counters!
I'm deciding if I want to shell out for counters that may or may not see a lot of use.

And I'm a fool, so I probably will. Smile

What they hell does silky-smooth mean, anyway? No die marks on the back?
