RE: 4TH EDITION TABLE RELEASED.
While this table seems to clear up a few things I am puzzled by the +1 opportunity fire v.s. PERSONNEL units. This leads me to believe that AFVs, APCs would be immune to the +1 modifier from units using DF. Wondering if this is a new rule as I thought all units recieved that bonus when using opportunity fire as 3rd edition does not state personnel units only, but units.

Brett,

I'm with you, I have no idea where that comes from. The old rules are clear and certainly do not indicate the target has to be personel units. Strange one ?

Apparently no-one informed the Soviets of this rule as an HMG just efficiently rolled "snake eyes" which in turn eliminated some plucky, would-be sneaky, open-topped armored cars attempting to bypass it's post. Dodgy Honestly in no hurry to make any sudden changes to my PG gaming like that; maybe it was supposed to be an optional rule?

No, it was never discussed.

I'm thinking it may be some form of hangover from the Modern set ? If not, I have no idea where it is from and should be scrubbed (please Smile)

Well yes is was Vince. It is a carry over from MG. I had a bit of a email back and forth with JS. Bottom line is he is the developer.
