RE: Avalanche Press Games That Are Not PG
AVP has several WW II systems beyond PG. The first captured in games like Red Vengence and Defiant Russia is strategic level, using bucket o'dice for combat resolution and very much a beer & pretzels level system. Fun, but any semblence to history is accidental.

The second level is a chit pull system from Blood on the Snow et al and represents a more operational, although still focused on playability, system.

The final level, and one I enjoy through my play of Red Steel is battalion level operational combat with a lot of bells and whistles for artillery, artillery supply, armor quality and AT capabilities, morale and leadership. This has only been captured in four games to my knowledge, the namesake game Avalanche, Red Steel, Alamein and Red Parachutes.
No "minor" country left behind...
