Spearhead Scenario 2 rules conundrum

I have a question on Spearhead Division Scenario 2.


After the scenario description there is this:

Other: Ignore all 40-Meter elevation lines on Board 25.

The Victory conditions give this:

2. Control all hexes of the 40m hill on Board 25 that includes hex 0606 at the end of play.

So how can I achieve the 2d VC if the former rule says that hill does not exist?

Could it be that:

1. That particular 40m hill does exist but the other one (with hex 1014) does not?

2.  The 40m hills are supposed to exist on Bd 25 and the rule saying they are to be ignored is to be disregarded?

3. The 40m Hills do not exist but the VC requiring the one 40m hill to be taken is just marking the area to be taken?

Assuming the rules are not in error, this interpretation is my first thought.
