1940: The Fall of Luxembourg - rerathbun - 04-22-2014

Just got this one. Very nice laser-cut counters. They're the same thickness as the die-cut Fall of France counters. The finish on mine is rather like the old die-cuts also, not like the Sword of David counters which have more of a "painted-rather-than-printed" feel.

There are 16 units including leaders, plus four Roadblock counters.

Fall of Lux has two scenarios, both alt-hist. The units are real, but the battles were not actually fought. It also includes a brief article on the Luxembourg strategy and (very brief) Luxembourg campaign.

BTW, I just ordered Marianas 1944. I now have the entire Luxembourg OOB for WWII in PG units, and will soon have the entire OOB for Guam.

Now to start collecting the entire Soviet OOB . . .

Who could say no to 100,000+ Soviet counters?

I'd have guessed that the OOB for the Duchy of Grand Fenwick would be next on your list. Tongue

Now to start collecting the entire Soviet O.B.........

I came close to that with 5 copies of Red Warriors and 3 sets of German Hoardes, back when APL was selling them seriously cheap. Only way you can set up some of the scenarios in Tank Battles, which calls for 17 troops of Stalin's Organ.

I also ended up with more of the 150spIG than the Wehrmacht had in the entire war!!

By the way, I've noticed that some scenarios in Jungle Fighting require 3 Bulge countersets :-0

Larry,

Much can be accomplished with Bulge, Elsenborn Ridge, Saipan and, if the designations don't bother you Go for Broke.

Shouldn't archers have their own NATO symbol? Does such a symbol even exist?

It seems a little low. Were the gendarmes included?
