Oooohh! Great work,Peter. Does this come from a previous article? BTW, I got my 105mm from Stanton, 2006.

Yeah great job Peter! If AP ever defuncts before they publish the rest of my submitted designs, I'll have a lot of counters for you to make. Smile

Those were made on the spot. Custom units are not that hard, once an image is found. The information I got first from Leo Niehorster's website (he has a terrific unit catalog). After that I checked against the Texas Military Forces Museum site. I have no idea who Stanton is (apart from my mamager's name) nor what he may have published in 2006.

Captain Shelby L. Stanton (US Army, Ret.) World War II Order of Battle: An Encyclopedic Reference to U.S. Army Ground Forces from Battalion to Division. 1939-1946. (Mechanicsburg, PA: Stackpole, 2006) p. 400.

Interesting looking book.

I think I know where Stanton found that part of information. It is in the Order of Battle of the US Army - WWII - ETO. You can download a pdf version of the book. I noticed that the 133rd FA was converted to 105mm howitzers with the other 2. The 155th became the 155mm unit.

While working on another project, I might have actually found some of these guys in PG. Jay may or may not want to comment on this, but here is the narrative. Vaguely based on some reading, which I haven't located again.

A battery (D?) from the 131st was detached and sent to Sumatra. There it joined the ABDA command for the defense of the oil fields and refineries. Nihon Silk, scenario 4, depicts a battle about the time of when I read that this artillery battery was engaged providing support fire,

I am going to contend that there is a reasonable possibility that the OBA battery in NiSi004, supporting at Palembang. To represent that I have made an OBA counter with the unit badge. That's my [fuzzy] story.
