That's why we were all given the option to enroll in SGLI (Service Group Life Insurance) on entering boot camp. That's the $10,000 payout when an American service member dies in the line of duty. It was an easy sell - given someone with and another someone without coverage, who do you think gets to walk in the line of fire first, hmmm?  Big Grin

SGLI. Has gone up significantly. It was $200,000 when I went to basic training in94, and went up to $400,000 in around 2004; with an additional $100,000 death gratuity to the family. In essence I am currently worth more dead than alive right now.

The rules for the use of smoke state " So a 12-turn game allows for two rounds of smoke/illumination, while a 36-turn game would allow four turns. To track usage, place either a Smoke or Illumination marker under the firing unit to indicate one usage, or note off-board artillery's usage on a piece of paper". It would seem that "rounds" would mean only 2 smoke firings in a 12-turn game, whereas "turns" would imply that all units capable of firing smoke rounds could each fire smoke in a given turn, and do so for one other turn. Should this be two rounds fired in a 12-turn game, or e.g. 6 rounds fired in two separate turns if one had three 16 OBA?

I've always played that it's one use of smoke or illumination per ten turns.

I recently played a 22 turn night scenario from Black Panthers. When the American tanks closed with the German held town German officers called in star shells three times to give a nearby 88 a chance to shoot at the tanks.
