When assaulting a loaded transport (Indian ACW), do the loaded personnel add their direct fire values to the combat?

Nope. 5.67 Units being transported may not conduct any type of fire.

I was confused by rule 12.2 : Required combat in Assault.
Last sentence in the paragraph reads as follows, "All units of both sides present in the hex must participate". Thanks for the speedy reply.

Rule 5.6 says: Once loaded, the transport unit and everything it carries count as one unit for stacking, movement and combat purposes.
