RE: [Kursk - South Flank] any questions? - vince hughes - 06-28-2012 Just reading another book on Kursk right now to refresh my memory (not a great book to be honest, but useful as a refresher). Yeah, Paul Hausser's II SS Corps (1st Leibstandarte, 2nd Das Reich and 3rd Totenkopf) was really the main thrust on the South Flank, and they then had Wehrmacht units on either side of them as part of the Southern push. So yes, definately Wehrmacht units in the south, but I guess they had to compromise on the printing costs at APL as Doug says. That all said, maybe different titles for the modules would have been a better way to go because it does sound that south flank Wehrmacht scenarios will be present in the North Flank package. RE: [Kursk - South Flank] any questions? - vince hughes - 06-28-2012 Hey Mike, As the GrossDeutschland Division was there, are there any extra scenarios planned in the Kursk vicinity using their specific counters from Fall of France ? Seems a shame to have them just for the 1 box-set. RE: [Kursk - South Flank] any questions? - Matt W - 06-28-2012 As for the name of the game, should it have been Kursk: SSouth Front? The title does cause confusion. Thanks, Mike Clear now, thanks. That said nothing would prevent you from substiting the GD infantry and hmg units for those in the game. Thanks, Mike RE: [Kursk - South Flank] any questions? - vince hughes - 06-29-2012 (06-29-2012, 02:34 AM)mike perryman Wrote: I was never a fan of their higher firepower. Totally agree for the FoF game. First thing I said to Wayne, my main ftf bud, when I saw them was that for 1940 they are wayyyy over-rated. RE: [Kursk - South Flank] any questions? - JayTownsend - 06-29-2012 Mike Perryman, great game, thanks for designing it. Sorry if I missed a counter value or two. Next time I will take tow days to looks them over, if Mike hasn't fired from proof-reading.
