The drove for the northeast corner and the Germans broke cover to engage them. The Soviet arty failed to stop the Germans from making contact and the Soviet attack bogged down. The Soviets managed to exit 4 steps, but the rest were chewed up by german arty, mortars and assaults. The open ground in the northeast became a killing ground for both sides. Draw.
