You can view my Italian initial setup in this thread.

The Poles approach the Italian position from both flanks. Sides exchange fire for the next 3 hours and the Italians eliminate 7 Polish steps while suffering only 1 step loss themselves. But the Italian situation is not that simple either because a half dozen of their units are no longer in good order.

The Poles get two lucky results the next turn when all Italian units fail their morale check. The Poles send a few units forward in order to assault next turn and they all survive the weak opportunity fire.

The Poles start their assault and although they did not succeed at first, they are able to reinforce them and eventually assault on the 18 and 24 columns. It looks like the Italians will be able to barely hold on for a draw but the Poles make excellent progress the last 45 minutes, greatly helped by many Italian units surrendering.

Polish major victory.

I rated this scenario a strong. "3". The order of battle is similar to the one in scenario 3 but the Italians defend on a hilltop this time instead of on a road. One thing I find interesting is how it appears the Italians are holding on and suddenly, they break. The surrender rule adds a serious element of difficulty for the Italians and I have yet to find a good tactical solution to minimize its effect.
