The urge to use the "fifth column" as a combat unit MUST be resisted. Used as a spotter the Poles can be hammered in detail and any attempt to get at the fifth column troops will expose the Poles to even greater artillery fire. Then there is the fact that the fifth column is also a pretty good group of troops and can hold its own against the Poles for the amount of time necessary to get the regular Germans in place to help. The Polish artillery is too weak to make the Germans advance from cover to cover. Very tough for the Poles to win.
